a poem

I wrote this on Sunday I think. It's kind of stupid, but I still like it.

I wish you knew
the way your smile
makes my heart beat
a little faster.
I wish you knew
every time you walk by
I have to stop
and look your way.
I wish you knew
the light you've brought
into the darkness
where I used to hide.
I wish you knew
because you came
I found my life
that I had lost.
I wish you knew
the joy I feel
each time I hear you
speak my name.
I wish you could see
the tears that come
as I wait
in fear of losing you.
Don't leave so soon.
